RWJF- UNM Eligibility www.healthpolicy.unm.edu/research/grants ABOUT RWJF CENTER FOR HEALTH POLICY FACULTY RESEARCH GRANTS The RWJF Center for Health Policy was established to transform the national debate on health policy by increasing the number of Latino, American Indian, and other minority PhD graduates in social science disciplines who are prepared to be leaders in guiding the direction of national health policy. The Research Grants Program of the Center furthers this mission by providing faculty grants that promote research on a wide range of issues and serve as an opportunity to supplement the training of RWJF Doctoral Fellows. Preference will be given to proposals that clearly indicate how the research will advance the mission of the Center. ELIGIBILITY 1. The RWJF Center welcomes applications from individual faculty and/or from interdisciplinary teams that include co-principal investigators (PIs) from at least two separate graduate degree programs. For interdisciplinary research grants, special preference will be given to collaborative efforts that include faculty from social science and Health Sciences Center graduate programs. 2. Proposals must focus a research question related to the Southeast Heights or South Valley or South Broadway areas of Bernalillo County. Comparative studies including these areas are eligible. 3. Consistent with the Center’s overall mission, preference will be given to applications that include and involve underrepresented minority faculty and/or include and involve RWJF Doctoral Fellows. 4. To be considered eligible, projects must include plans to use pilot data or results from the seed grant to seek extramural funding through the RWJF Center for Health Policy. 5. Preference will be given to PIs who have not been previously funded.
