Project Description
Community health nursing students work with UNM Service Corps, Americorps and city staff of several afterschool programs to provide health education curricula and activities.This project was developed to provide an opportunity for nursing students to work with children in prevention activities related to substance abuse, heart and lung health, diabetes prevention and wellness.

Objectives:
1. Provide opportunities for undergraduate nursing students to work with Americorps volunteers and school-aged chldren in afterschool programs
2. To develop health and wellness programs and provide health education
