Project Description
New Mexico Kids CCR&R is a grant funded program (through CYFD) that offers statewide referral services and technical assistance for families throughout New Mexico. We have a databased list of Licensed or Registered child care providers and the referral software we use matches up families based on their needs such as days, hours, ages of children served, etc. Families can call for a list of child care providers or perform their own database search online. Parents receive a list of child care providers that may meet their needs and are encouraged to call and make the final selection on their own. Parents are provided with several documents/checklist to assist with their selection.

Child care in New Mexico is difficult to find. In July of 2005, it was decided by CYFD that the referrals for child care that had been taking place at a regional level, would be consolidated into one statewide referral service due to a decrease in funding. The databases were consolidated into one and 2 individuals were hired to cover referrals for the entire state.

Eligibility
Open to anyone in the state of New Mexico or anyone calling from another state who will be utilizing child care in New Mexico (moving here, relative, etc.)
