Project Description Teaches law students about providing civil legal services to poor clients in the United States by educating future lawyers about the history of providing civil legal services to the poor in the US, models for providing that representation and ways of evaluating new models. Students research and analyse relevant law/policy. Or, they may engage in a community-based project to develop methods for providing legal services, to actually provide legal services, or to provide consumer education about legal issues and services. Students read history, theory, critical analysis, case law, reports related to provision of legal services to the poor. They hear form legal services providers and study career possibilities in the legal services field. They write research papers or engage in projects. Eligibility Enrolled law students.
