Project Description
The New Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors requiring that all registrants complete 30 Professional Development Hours every biennium. Beginning in 2006, the Board requires that 4 of these hours be in the field of engineering ethics. Hall has developed and is teaching a 2-h course at a modest cost ($20/student) for local engineering firms and the NM Department of Transportation. The estimated $4000-5000 revenues in 2006 will go toward a state-of-the-art conference room in the engineering building. This program will continue in future years.

The 2006 course introduces ethics, discusses informal and formal codes of ethics, and develops several case studies of hypothetical and real case studies.

Eligibility
Participants must be a professional engineer or land surveyor in NM or another state that requires PDH.
