Project Description
HDWP supports teachers in becoming better writers, better teachers of writing and more informed about the research in writing. Some teachers participate in writing. The summer institute is a place for teachers to learn, share ideas, and understand research. Ongoing continuity and outreach programs include, but are not limited to: writing retreats, study groups, inservices by institute graduates (fellows) within their own or other districts, and participation in research projects. HDWP is part of the thirty-plus year old National Writing Project.
 
Eligibility
Teachers, K-16, with an outstanding record of teaching writing.
